Sober Coaching

Sober coaching is a form of professional support designed to help individuals maintain sobriety and navigate life during recovery from addiction, especially in the early stages. Unlike therapists or sponsors, sober coaches work in real-time and real-life settings, offering hands-on, personalized guidance.

Included in all coaching services:

 

  • Daily 30-minute phone check-ins (nightly or more as needed), with unlimited texting

  • Daily Bluetooth breathalyzer testing (device provided) - if needed

  • Weekly (or more often) random drug testing

  • Location tracking via "Find Friends" app, so we know client whereabouts

  • Unlimited texts/calls with family/support system

  • Outlook Coaching maintains close partnerships with local doctors, psychiatrists, schools (Public and Private) as well as other specialty service companies.

 

 

The frequency of contact varies - some clients call 10 times a day, others just do the nightly check-in. The priority is providing customized support based on each client's needs.

Accountability

Accountability is a cornerstone of effective sober coaching, providing clients with the structure and support needed to stay committed to their recovery. Through regular check-ins, honest conversations, and goal tracking, a sober coach helps clients remain focused, recognize setbacks without judgment, and celebrate progress. This consistent accountability fosters personal responsibility and empowers individuals to make intentional, healthier choices in their daily lives.

Support in Daily Life

Our sober coaches play an active, supportive role in helping clients navigate the challenges of daily life with clarity, confidence, and purpose. Beyond maintaining sobriety, coaches assist clients in creating healthy routines, managing stress, improving time management, and building positive habits that support overall well-being. They work collaboratively with clients to identify potential triggers, develop practical coping strategies, and strengthen decision-making skills. Whether it's offering guidance on personal relationships, encouraging consistency in fitness or nutrition, or providing motivation during difficult moments, our coaches are committed to being a steady, empowering presence. By integrating support into everyday routines, clients are better equipped to achieve balance, stay focused on their goals, and thrive in their recovery journey.

Life Skills Training

Our coaches provide comprehensive life-skills training designed to equip clients with the tools and confidence needed to navigate real-world challenges with independence and resilience. This training covers essential areas such as effective communication, emotional regulation, time management, budgeting, goal setting, and problem-solving. By addressing gaps in practical knowledge and reinforcing positive habits, our coaches empower clients to build a solid foundation for personal growth and long-term success. Through personalized guidance and hands-on support, clients gain the skills necessary to make informed decisions, maintain healthy relationships, and lead a stable, purpose-driven life beyond recovery.

Custom Recovery Plans

Our coaches develop personalized recovery plans tailored to each client’s unique needs, goals, and circumstances. Through in-depth conversations and assessments, they identify key areas of focus—such as sobriety support, mental health, relationships, and life balance—and design a practical, step-by-step plan to guide lasting change. This customized approach ensures that clients receive targeted support and achievable goals that align with their values, lifestyle, and long-term vision for recovery.
